ABUHC Uni Champs 2014/15 – Third weekend

Both our men’s and women’s teams will be heading  to Birmingham on the weekend of 7th/8th March 2015 to play at the ABUHC Uni Champs, on its final weekend of the competition.

The matches will run over both days in two venues: Birmingham Insternational Futsal Arena and Cannock Chase Leisure Centre. You can find a schedule for our group stage matches below, but it does not include the knock-out matches on Sunday. You can also check the group seedings and the full schedule (updated 6th March). Our men’s team will play for the trophy in Group F and our women’s will play for the plate trophy.

We have arranged transport and accommodation  for both teams by car or van. Both men’s and women’s team will be playing on Saturday and Sunday. We will count you in for transport and accommodation and split costs unless you have told us that you are arranging your own.

On Saturday, we will meet at the Sidgwick site at 11.15am, to leave at 11.30am. Both our teams will be playing the group stages:

• The men’s team plays in Cannock, starting at 3.20pm.
• The women’s team plays in Birmingham, starting at 3.00pm.

We will stay at the YHA National Forest hostel on Saturday evening. We will stop to check in at the hostel in the morning, on our way to the venues.

On Sunday, there will be some more group stage matches for the men’s and knock-outs bor men’s and women’s.

• The men’s team plays in Birmingham, starting at 10.20am.
• The women’s team plays in Cannock, starting at 12.10pm at the earliest.

Depending how far we get in the competition, we will leave Birmingham sooner or later. Our aim will be to leave Birmingham having won the finals (!), at around 7pm, and  be back in Cambridge by 9pm.
